At present, the purification technology of particulate matter in the air is relatively mature. A professional testing organization has tested and evaluated different types of air purification products, and conducted field experiments in offices and residents' homes. The results show that the mass concentration of PM2.5 can be reduced in offices and homes with air purifiers.
The purification time required by the purifier varies with the area of the house and the purification efficiency of the purifier. Some purifiers with good performance require a shorter purification time. For example, one hour can reduce the indoor PM2.5 concentration by more than two thirds. In polluted weather, close the doors and Windows of the room, and the air purifier has a certain effect on reducing indoor PM2.5 concentration.
Understand the purification principle of air purifier
There are many types of working principles of air purifier, such as filtration, electrostatic adsorption, chemical reaction and multiple types of combined purification, etc. Filtration refers to pumping air into the machine with a fan and filtering air through the built-in filter, which can play a certain role in filtering particles, toxic and harmful gases and some bacteria. Chemical reaction refers to the effective purification of indoor air by various chemical reaction technologies, such as silver ion technology, negative ion technology and photocatalyst technology. Multiple purification refers to the combination of filtration technology and various chemical reaction technologies. Existing air purifiers mostly use multiple purification technology.
New requirements of the new national standard of air purifier
The newly revised national standard of air purifier "Air purifier" (GB/T 18801-2015) has been formally implemented. The new national standard defines several core indicators affecting the purification effect of air purifier, namely CADR value (clean air quantity), CCM value (cumulative purification amount), energy efficiency grade and noise standard. The higher the CADR value, It indicates that the faster the purification efficiency is, the higher the CCM value is, indicating that the air purifier filter element can purify more pollutants in its lifetime.
These two indicators reflect the purification ability and purification sustainability of air purifier, which is the key to judge the quality of an air purifier. In addition, the applicable area, harmful substance release requirements, small air purifier evaluation methods, air duct purification device evaluation methods are also given specific requirements.
How should consumers choose the appropriate purification products?
Any air purification device is targeted to the purification of pollutants. Air purification technologies of different principles have certain advantages, but there are also limitations.
When choosing air purification device, we should first determine the purpose of purification, that is, to purify what kind of pollutants, if for the main pollutant PM2.5 of haze, we should choose an effective purifier for PM2.5.
Secondly, to choose the regular manufacturers, according to the air purifier standard identification of effective products (such as reference CADR value, CCM value, etc.), such as CARD value for 300, suitable for the bedroom area of 15-30 square meters.
In addition, the actual purification effect of the air purifier is also related to the room area, energy efficiency, running time, etc. At the same time, the noise generated by the air purifier should be considered, which will not affect the daily rest.
Be aware of secondary pollution when using an air purifier
Open air purifier in closed bedroom for a long time, need to pay attention to its "secondary pollution".
First, the service life of the air purifier purify materials have, use after a period of time, the attach to particulate matter, or other microorganisms, purification materials saturated, has not the effect of purification, can make instead of pollutants as the purifier open enter indoor, so should be used according to the pollution degree and the timely replacement of purification materials;
Secondly, for the electrostatic adsorption principle of air purifiers, there is a risk of ozone, and ozone will produce strong stimulation and damage to the respiratory system, the elderly and children are more sensitive to ozone, so it is necessary to pay attention to the increase in ozone concentration may cause adverse reactions to the human body;
In addition, in a closed indoor and open air purifier for a long time, when indoor personnel is large, can cause indoor oxygen, reduce indoor humidity, noise, these all make the person produces discomfort, so need according to the air pollution situation and the body's own feelings, adjust the use time of air purifier, timely opening the window take a breath when necessary.
